Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge

Contracted by Octagon Australia to manage national and international PR for Red Bull F1 driver Mark Webber's annual charity adventure race. Roles included strategic planning, creation and management of media events, content planning and development, live event media outputs and on-site journalist and photographer management.

Coverage included the Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, Men's Fitness, ESPN Star Sports Asia, China Daily, Wheels Australia, Outer Edge, Wanderlust, Outdoor Fitness, Sleepmonsters.

Patagonian Expedition Race

Contracted by Nomadas / Turismo Chile for the last four years to manage global communications and branding for the 'Last Wild Race', the world's most extreme multisport event. Roles involve strategic planning, event re-branding, merchandising, organisation and activation of international media events, competition activation, content and website management, social media, live on-event media output and journalist and photographer management. Also played a major roll in the creation and roll-out of the 'Save the Huemul' conservation project and developed and managed the growth of the race Facebook page, gaining 3,000 followers in less than one month.

Sports-specific coverage has appeared on BBC News, Metro UK (page 3), FHM, Reuters, Outside magazine, Sport Magazine (DPS), CNN Traveller, Yahoo, Gazetta dello Sport. We also devised and managed a photographic competition with National Geographic.

Ford Champions League activation

WGMedia founder Will Gray managed the pan-European PR for Ford's Champions League sponsorship prior to setting up WGMedia. The 'Feel Football' project involved utilising ambassadors including Jose Mourinho, Ruud Gullit and Patrick Vieira to generate content for media distribution, attend public and media events in Europe and the USA and participate in regular teleconference and face-to-face interviews with the media.

Coverage focused on all major UK and European newspapers.

Wenger Press office

Contracted to develop global press releases for Swiss Army Knife manufacturer Wenger, focusing on their adventure sport ambassadors, conservation, sports-related equipment and the Patrouille des Glaciers ski race.
